Inspired by the launch of an innovative online training platform and signature Return and Rise^TM course for career break returners in law, whilst knowing there was still work to be done in Chambers, on an organisational level, to offer barristers the requisite support to successfully return from a career break, Clerking Through Career Breaks^TM was born.

This on demand, pre-recorded course is designed for clerks to support Chambers, and Members of Chambers, to successfully navigate career breaks, enhancing the experience of returners whilst positively impacting upon Chambers culture through improved talent retention and working parent career progression.

This 1-hour course provides a 5-stage strategic framework through which to implement a practical, step by step guide to support career break returner barristers preparing for and returning from a career break, then successfully progressing their careers beyond.

By the end of the course, barristers’ clerk participants will learn how to…

1. Positively support career break returners throughout their entire career break journey:
   1. from announcement;
   2. through being away,
   3. to point of imminent return;
   4. confidently owning the transition back into Chambers and court;
   5. then supporting career progression beyond.
